Plaster KARST 403
KARST 403 mixture is intended for manual and mechanized (with the help of pump mixers, flow mixers and other plastering units) high-quality processing of brick, concrete and other mineral bases inside and outside buildings for further furnishing (filling, application of decorative plaster, gluing of heat-insulating boards , tiling, etc.). The mixture can be used in rooms with high humidity (showers, baths and kitchens, etc.).
Composition: High-quality Portland cement, slaked lime, mineral aggregates and modifying additives.

Operating temperature: from -30 °C to +50 °C
Surface preparation:
It is recommended to begin plastering work after shrinkage and complete drying of walls and other concrete elements, i.e. after 2-3 months in the case of brick walls, and 4-6 months in the case of concrete walls and elements.
Apply the plaster on a strong, solid, stable and even base to avoid the need for an additional increase in the thickness of the plaster layer. Clean the working surface from dust, soot, grease, agents that reduce adhesion, paints, masonry solution, etc.
Weak layers and protrusions must be removed. On surfaces with high and medium absorption capacity, it is recommended to prime the surface with a primer deep penetration and last at least 2-4 hours.
Smooth surfaces and walls made of different materials are recommended to be treated with cement spray. Highly absorbent mineral bases, depending on the type of material and atmospheric conditions, it should be moderately or thoroughly moistened with clean water immediately before applying the plaster.
Preparation of the solution:
Manually:
Pour water into a clean container (water temperature from +15 °C to +20 °C) at the rate of 0.18-0.21 l per 1 kg of mixture (4.5 - 5.25 l. per 25 kg bag). Gradually add the dry mixture and mix with a low-speed drill with a nozzle until a homogeneous mass without lumps is obtained. Keep the solution mixture for 5 minutes, then mix it again. The solution retains its properties for 1 hour.
By machine:
Prepare the plaster station for work. Set the required water consumption at the water dispenser of the plastering station (the consistency of the mortar mixture is chosen depending on the type of work to be performed). Apply the mortar mixture to the place of work using a plastering station.
Order of work:
The ready-to-use mixture is applied to the prepared surface by pouring it through the nozzle of a mortar pump or plastering machine, or by hand using a spatula, followed by leveling with a rule and smoothing with graters.
When applying one layer of plaster (8-25 mm), the final leveling (grinding with a plastic, polystyrene, polyurethane or sponge trowel) should be carried out after it begins to harden (approximately 1.5-2 hours, depending on the conditions of work). When installing a multi-layer plaster coating with a thickness of more than 25 mm, apply each subsequent layer after hardening (solidification) of the previous one. When applying the plaster mass on horizontal or inclined surfaces, it is necessary to use a plaster mesh.
The solution cannot be left in the mechanical device without movement for more than 15 minutes. Plastering work should be carried out during dry weather, moderate insolation and protection from premature drying.
When applying plaster, it is necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation in the room, while preventing drafts or too fast drying of the solution as a result of exposure to sunlight or natural heating. Moisturize the plastered surface within 48 hours after completion of work.
In the case of subsequent facing with ceramic tiles, plastering should be done without rubbing and using a plaster mesh when applying. Before gluing ceramic tiles to the plaster layer that has already settled, the plaster should be treated with a deep penetration primer.
Use for gluingcotton wool adhesive mixtures for tiles Painting and applying decorative coatings can be carried out no earlier than after 28 days (under normal conditions and proper ventilation).
Recommendations:
Work must be performed at an air temperature of +5°C to +30°C.
The most effective result is achieved at a temperature of +20°C and a relative humidity of 60%. In other conditions, the working parameters of the mixture may change.
Note:
When using the mixture, personal protective equipment (respirator and rubber gloves) should be used. When working, it is necessary to protect the skin and eyes. If the mixture gets into the eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
