KARST MP 705 machine-applied gypsum plaster
Field of application:
Karst MP 705 plaster is intended for high-quality leveling of indoor surfaces using a mechanized method (using plastering machines), bringing the surface to a gloss without additional puttying before applying decorative coatings (paints, decorative compounds, wallpaper, etc.). It is applied to brick, concrete, foam concrete and other mineral bases and plasterboard. It can be used for manual application works.
Composition:
The mixture is made on the basis of a gypsum binding substance, a light filler and special additives that ensure high adhesion, water-holding capacity and optimal working time. The color of the gypsum mixture can be of different shades (depending on the presence of natural impurities in the gypsum stone), but this does not affect the characteristics of the product.
Features:
Water consumption: 0.5-0.55 l/kg
Layer thickness: 8-50 mm
Consumption of mixture per 1 mm of continuous layer: 0.8 kg/m2
The shelf life of the mixture: 60 minutes
Readiness for initial loads: After 24 hours
Compressive strength limit: 2.5 MPa
Temperature of mortar mixture application: from +5°C to +30°C
Operating temperature: from -30 °C to +50 °C
If necessary, thicker layers can be applied twice.
Surface preparation:
The base must be dry, strong and even, with uniform water absorption. Clean the surface from dust, spills, oil stains and other substances that reduce adhesion. Weak layers should be removed, existing cracks should be widened, primed and filled with repair mixture TM « KARST».
Treat very smooth bases with a steel brush or abrasive paper. Treat all metal elements with a means that prevents corrosion. Before starting the work, treat the surface of the base with primer TM "KARST" and withstand at least 3 hours. It is not allowed to wet the surface of the base with water.
Preparation of the solution:
In the case of mechanical application, prepare the mixture according to the plastering machine operating instructions. Dry mix "KARST MP 705" pour into the hopper and set the water flow, respectively, to obtain a plastic consistency, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
At used the manual application method, pour the dry mixture into a container with clean water (temperature +150С +200С) in the proportion of 0.5-0.55l per 1kg of the mixture (15-16.5l per 30kg bag). The finished mixture is suitable for use within one hour.
Order of work:
The ready-to-use mixture is evenly applied to the base using a spatula, grater, leveling bar. When using a plastering machine, application must be carried out by holding the mortar gun perpendicular to the treated surface at a distance of 40 cm. Every 15 minutes, the mixing chamber of the machine, the screw pair, the solution hose and the gun should be cleaned.
The plaster applied to the surface should be leveled with an h-shaped rule, and after about 1 hour. level the applied layer with a metal trapezoidal rail or a wide spatula, cutting off the excess and filling in the depressions. 15 minutes after trimming, the surface of the plaster must be moistened with water and rubbed in circular motions with a sponge grater to eliminate minor irregularities and smoothed with a metal half grater. Plastering works it is better to do it continuously, using the wet by wet'' method. In the case of using a multilayer coating, each subsequent layer should be applied after complete drying of the previous one. Grinding the surface of the leveling layer, as well as subsequent painting or gluing with wallpaper, must be performed no earlier than after 24 hours. after plastering.
Recommendations:
The most effective result is achieved at a temperature of +20°C and a relative humidity of 60%. In other conditions, the working parameters of the mixture may change. In the case of using the mixture in non-standard conditions or for other purposes, it is necessary to independently conduct tests or consult with the manufacturer. With drafts, high temperature, highly absorbent base, the shelf life of the mortar mixture is reduced. Work must be performed at an air temperature of +5°C to +30°C. The manufacturer is not responsible for improper use of the material, as well as its use for other purposes and conditions not provided for in the technical description.
