Spiral mixer PFT G4 or snail or whisk of the plastering station has a special shape and is used for mixing dry mixtures with water in the mixing chamber. The spiral is placed in the mixing chamber of the plaster station, one end is connected to the spiral holder located on the gearbox shaft, and the other end is connected to the rotor of the screw pair. With the help of a mixing spiral, the torque from the engine is transmitted to the rotor, thereby driving the screw pair.
The mixing spiral is a consumable, therefore, if there is wear, it must be replaced immediately, as this directly affects the resource of the screw pair and the holder of the mixing spiral and, most importantly, the quality of the solution.
The main reason for failure of the mixing spiral is its wear under the influence of abrasive particles of the plaster mixture.
Another factor affecting the failure of the mixing spiral is the solution deposits in the mixing chamber. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the mixing chamber with a special tool, such as a crown cleaner.
