Purpose

KM Grunt Block is a primer-concentrate for interior work.

Primer based on styrene-acrylic dispersion is intended for preliminary treatment of absorbent surfaces.

Does not contain solvents or volatile substances.

Effectively reduces and regulates the absorbency of the base, improves adhesion.

Contributes to uniform setting of gypsum and cement mortars of construction mixtures.

Application

KM Grunt Block primer is intended for preliminary treatment of hygroscopic surfaces:

aerated concrete and foam concrete;
brickwork (ceramic and silicate bricks);
ceramic blocks and slag blocks;
gypsum and cement plasters.

Work order

The temperature of the air and the base during processing and until the primer is completely dry should be between +5°С and +30°С.

The base must be: strong, dry, free of dust, dirt and peeling.

The primer must be mixed before use.

Dilute KM Grunt Block primer with water depending on the degree of hygroscopicity of the treated surface (primer: water = 1:1 – 1:8).

Do not apply undiluted.

Apply KM Grunt Block primer, diluted with water, to the treated surface evenly with a roller, brush, brush or mechanized method.

When arranging poured floors, it is recommended to apply the primer in two layers.

At the same time, the second layer is applied only after the first one has dried. The following work should be carried out only after the primer has completely dried (at least 12 hours at +20°C and 65% relative humidity).

The time interval between the end of the drying of the primer and the beginning of the following works should be as short as possible to avoid settling of construction dust on the treated surface.

After applying the primer, immediately rinse the tools and containers with water.

Do not add other materials to the primer, this leads to a significant deterioration of its properties.
